In this tutorial, we will unite all knowledge when I take you by drawing step-by-step manga. You will finally be able to draw your own complete manga character.
Start by sketching your character in the form of stick figures. You want to make different poses using straight lines and circles.
This is your chance to be creative. When you design your manga character, put it in whatever poses you want. Play with it. You can even have manga characters holding swords or fly in the air.
After you decide on the pose to draw your manga, make a sketch to a new piece of paper.
The next step is to add dimensions to your stick. Use different 3D polygons such as cylinders and blocks to map the basic body structure.
Now it’s time to decide what you want your character wear. This is entirely up to you and depends on the character what you want to make.
Will you make Assassin Ninja with a black uniform? Or southern Belle in a dress?
As a tip, I will hold on to clothes that are simpler for now because you are still just starting. Something hugs the body will be easier to drawn than tempting curtains.
When you become more skilled, you can make things as bad as you want.
After you are done with clothes, sketches at the beginning of the hairstyle.
Step four is to fill the details for the face โดจิน and hair. You also have to start removing some guiding pencil marks that don’t match the image.
Now it’s time to discuss your sketch with ink. Remove your pen and ink above the line.
Now you don’t want to save each line in your image, just choose the best look and leave “error” and practice strokes.
You will find that after you have finished handling it with ink, your image will suddenly look much better and polished.
The light pencil sign will fade when the contrast with the ink and your image will look much sharper.
Then last, after the ink is completely dry, continue your image with the eraser and rub all extra pencil marks.
This last step on how to draw step-by-step manga is optional, but if you feel ambitious, you can now color your image.
Coloring can be complicated if you are not experienced. This requires several experiments and trials. That’s why I suggest you make a copy of your original manga image photo and practice coloring copies.
After you find the color combination you like, you can now apply it to the real thing.
